Aloe Vera has some amazing skincare benefits! We are going to share 5 of them with you in this article.
Aloe Vera is a cactus-like plant that has amazing benefits for your skin.
Usually grown in Sri Lankan gardens, the benefits of Aloe Vera are not known to many.
1. Cuts, Burns & Blisters
Anybody would tell you that Aloe Vera is a great cosmetic.
But, do you know that Aloe Vera is also great for cuts and burns?
Aloe Vera works wonders on blisters, insect bites, and stings, as well.
Though Aloe Vera is a good remedy for small cuts and burns, you might want to contact your doctor for severe cuts or burns.
How to use: Break the stem into two and you can apply them on the cuts or burns straight away.
2. Gives you a Glow!
Most Sri Lankan Women are used to applying unfamiliar beaching products on their faces.
This leaves their skin dried and damaged.
Aloe Vera is an amazing detox agent!
It can help you recover from the dried and damaged skin giving you a natural glow.
How to use: Remove a stem from the plant and apply it on the skin surface twice daily. Stop using other chemical cosmetics in the meantime (especially, bleaches!).
3. Shrinks warts…
Having an unpleasant wart sitting on your skin?
Aloe Vera shrink warts!
High in Malic Acid, Aloe Vera could help you peel off the wart easily, soon.
How to use: Just apply Aloe Vera on the wart surface twice a day.
4. Anti-aging Moisturizer
Do you want to look younger? Of course, who doesn’t?
A research made by the Indian Journal of Dermatology shows that Aloe Vera gel has mucopolysaccharides which help to trap skin moisture.
Aloe Vera also stimulates fibroblasts that produce collagen and elastin fibers making skin more elastic and less wrinkled.
How to use: Apply the gel on face and hands, twice daily.
5. Dark Circles.
Are you someone who works on a computer? No good sleep? Stressed about the assignment?
Well, Aloe Vera can’t help you with those – if that is what you are looking for.
But, Aloe Vera can help you with the dark circles formed around your eyes due to these unhealthy practices.
How to use: Apply the gel on your face before you go to bed.
Aloe Vera has many other therapeutic properties not only on your skin, but also on your guts and gum as well.
You could either take Aloe Vera as a gel directly from the plant or store it in a small bottled container and leave it in the refrigerator. However, over the counter Aloe Vera products may not always work as good as the natural plant.
Always and Always, consult a doctor when you are treating chronic skin conditions with a natural plant such as Aloe Vera.
